About This Opportunity
Bridget's Magical Music Pot is a grant fund created in memory of Bridget Hilton, a remarkable teacher who spent her life encouraging people to play music for fun. She died in 2018 from a brain tumour, after a short illness. Bridget believed in the power of music to bring people together and change lives for the better, supporting generations of people, young and old, to embrace music and enjoy it. After her death, Bridget's family created this grant-giving legacy to open up new opportunities for more people to enjoy making music and to help Bridget's kindness and generosity live on. The fund supports people to come together to make music of any kind in West Cumbria (former areas of Allerdale and Copeland). Funded by donations from Bridget's family and friends, the fund continues to accept additional donations.
