Briggs Scholarship in Political Science

The Briggs Scholarship in Political Science provides annual scholarship support for full-time matriculated undergraduate students majoring in Political Science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. The scholarship is awarded to students who have demonstrated financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Eligible recipients must have earned a sufficient number of credits to qualify at least as a sophomore, maintain a cumulative GPA of no less than 3.5, and demonstrate a continuous record of community service to their home community, Amherst and its environs, and/or to the University community. The scholarship emphasizes the importance of academic excellence combined with civic engagement and community involvement.
