About this opportunity
The Bright Horizons Scholarship is offered annually by the Australian National University to provide financial support to bright and high-achieving students who have faced adversity so that they may pursue their undergraduate studies at ANU. The objective is to support students who demonstrate excellence despite experiencing challenges such as financial disadvantage, family difficulties, long-term medical conditions or disability, humanitarian visa status, or coming from regional, rural, or remote areas with schools having low ICSEA scores. Funding has been provided by the University itself.
The scholarship is valued between $8,000 to $28,000 per annum, with payments made per semester over a period of up to five years. Up to 64 scholarships are available each year. The award supports domestic students who receive an offer of admission to an undergraduate degree program in any field of study at ANU.
Applicants are automatically considered for this scholarship when they apply directly to ANU through the Admission Scholarship and Accommodation Application, provided they meet the eligibility criteria and elect to be considered for scholarships. The scholarship aims to remove financial barriers and enable talented students from disadvantaged backgrounds to access quality higher education at one of Australia's leading universities.
