About this opportunity
The Britford Bridge Trust is a charitable trust registered in England & Wales that provides grants to UK registered charities for national or international projects. The Trust was established by Adrian and Jane Frost in 2014 and has made more than 200 grants to date. The primary charitable purposes include the prevention or relief of poverty; the advancement of education; the advancement of health or the saving of lives; and the advancement of the arts, culture, heritage, or science. All applicants must demonstrate national relevance. Regional consideration is only given to projects in the Dorset and Cambridge areas. The Trustees consider the amount requested in the context of the overall project and its aims, other sources of funding, the overall finances of the charity, and the amount of donation that reaches the intended beneficiary. Decisions are also dependent upon the number and quality of competing applications. The Trust has already committed to supporting medicine and cancer-related causes and will not accept applications in those areas, nor from African causes.
