About This Opportunity

The GREAT Scholarships programme is funded jointly by the UK Government's GREAT Britain campaign, British Council and the University of Kent, as part of the Study UK campaign. The scholarship offers £10,000 to Ghanaian, Indian, Kenyan, Malaysian, Nigerian, Thai or Turkish passport holders who are also based in these countries, applying for a one year taught master's programme at the University of Kent. The award goes towards tuition fees and is for students beginning their degrees in September 2026 only. As part of the programme, all GREAT scholars will be invited to a welcome event in the first semester and a networking event in the second semester. Scholars are expected to act as ambassadors for UK Higher Education, attend lectures and tutorials, engage with extra-curricular activities, and promote the value of studying at a UK institution.
