About this opportunity
The British Poultry Council (BPC) scholarships are open to 2nd year BSc or 1st year FdSc students studying at Harper Adams University who are interested in pursuing a career in the Poultry Industry. The scholarship provides a significant financial contribution towards education and includes a mandatory placement year with one of the sponsoring companies. The BPC sponsors, which include Aviagen, Gressingham Foods, and Pilgrim's Europe, may each award one scholarship. Recipients receive £4,500 as a contribution towards their education and employment with the sponsoring BPC Company during their placement year. Subject to a review at the end of placement with the sponsoring firm, there may be an opportunity for further funding in the scholar's final academic year. A key condition of the scholarship is that students undertake their placement year with the sponsoring firm. These are competitive awards evaluated on the merit of the submitted application, academic achievements to date, and interview performance.
