Bruce & Helen Barker Ambuel Scholarship

The Bruce & Helen Barker Ambuel Scholarship is awarded to select undergraduate students at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This scholarship is designed to support Wisconsin residents who demonstrate financial need and have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75. The scholarship specifically targets students from underrepresented backgrounds, including first-generation college students (neither parent earned a baccalaureate degree), graduates of Milwaukee Public Schools, or participants in the College Possible program or similar programs that prepare pre-college students from low-income families to succeed in higher education. Current recipients are given preference before new awards are offered, demonstrating the program's commitment to ongoing support of its scholars. The anticipated total award amount over the full term is $12,000.
