Bruce & Kathy Macmillan Memorial Siviculture Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded in memory of Bruce Macmillan's exemplary service of over 40 years within the forestry industry, including time as a program instructor at NAIT. The Bruce & Kathy Macmillan Silviculture Scholarship will seek to reward those who show dedication to achieving their full academic potential. An individual who receives this award will demonstrate the ability to strive for greater advancement and improvement in the field. The scholarship is available to second year students enrolled in the Forest Technology program at NAIT and is awarded on the basis of the most improved student. Improvement is measured by the greatest increase in weighted average between two first year courses and two second year courses in forestry-related subjects. Three to five candidates are put forward to a panel of judges for scholarship selection based on a provided rubric. Students are automatically considered for this award and no application is required.
