Bruce Stovel Memorial Prize

The Bruce Stovel Memorial Prize is awarded to a student with superior academic achievement in any year of undergraduate study or at convocation in a course in 18th Century British Literature. Selection is based on academic standing in the course, provided that the student's academic record is otherwise satisfactory in the year of the award. This prize honors the legacy of the late Bruce Stovel, Professor Emeritus in English & Film Studies at the University of Alberta. The award was established through endowed funds by family, friends, colleagues and students of Professor Stovel. Students are automatically considered for this prize based on their completed General Application through the University of Alberta scholarship system.
