About This Opportunity

Brunel University London's elite sport programme offers sports scholarships to outstanding student athletes competing at the highest levels of their sporting disciplines. The scholarship package provides funding up to £3,000 per academic year along with comprehensive support services. The programme is designed to benefit talented students ranging from world-class performance level competing internationally through to English Schools Champions. Awards are structured in tiers including Gold, Silver, and Bronze levels for team sports, with Gold awarded to athletes at major international senior competitions, Silver for junior international level, and Bronze for national level competitors. For individual sports such as athletics, scholarships include an initial award plus performance-based rewards linked to success at BUCS Championships, with medals earning between £500-£1,000. Priority is given to students competing in Athletics, Netball, Rugby, Basketball, and Futsal, though other sports including Badminton, Canoeing/Rowing, Golf, Hockey, Judo, Olympic Weightlifting, Swimming, Squash, Table Tennis, Tennis, and Women's Football are also considered. The scholarship includes access to world-class training facilities including an Indoor Athletics Centre and Strength & Conditioning area, sport psychology support, free weekly physiotherapy sessions, athlete-friendly on-campus accommodation, scholarship kit, and a support package worth over £500.
