About this opportunity
Established in 2006, the Bruton Educational Trust Scholarship was generously donated by Bruton Holdings Pty Ltd to assist rural and regional students commencing undergraduate studies at the University of Sydney. The scholarship is valued at $10,000 per annum and is tenable for the duration of the agreed undergraduate program (single or combined) for up to a maximum of 5 years full-time. The Scholarship annual value is paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester. Applicants must be commencing the first semester of their undergraduate degree at the University of Sydney and completing a degree which is relevant to and will have the capacity to benefit the rural community of Australia. Eligible students must demonstrate financial disadvantage and have completed their Higher School Certificate (HSC) at a high school in Australia located more than 100km from either The University of Sydney or The Australian National University. Recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 each semester to continue receipt of the Scholarship.
