About This Opportunity

The University College Cork offers annually a Special First Year Scholarship to overall BT Young Scientist Competition winners. The scholarship covers the student contribution and capitation fee for first prize winners, and half of these fees for overall runners up. The scholarship is awarded to the overall first prize winner(s) of the BT Young Scientist and Technology Competition, either an individual winner or each member of a winning team, independent of the year in which the award was received. Additional scholarships worth half of the student contribution and capitation fee are awarded to the overall runner up (Group, Senior Level) and overall runner up (Individual, Senior Level). Recipients must have secured a place on a full-time undergraduate course within UCC and must be validly registered for the first year of the programme. If a scholarship holder withdraws from the programme or fails to meet attendance and other requirements, they may be required to repay the whole or part of the scholarship.
