About this opportunity

The Buffalo Public High School Aspire Scholarship is designed to support undergraduate students at the University at Buffalo who graduated from a public high school in the city of Buffalo. This scholarship is funded by Gretchen A. Hodgdon, MD '00, and Travis Hodgdon, DO, with a special preference given to graduates of Bennett High School. Eligible applicants must be accepted or current University at Buffalo undergraduates in any major, hold U.S. citizenship, and demonstrate financial need. Domestic students are required to complete the FAFSA to demonstrate financial need. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study, providing sustained support throughout the student's college career. Applicants must submit a short narrative as part of the supplemental questions, describing personal challenges faced, motivation for pursuing a college degree, and identifying a role model along with the reasons for selecting that individual.
