About This Opportunity

A postgraduate research scholarship valued at up to $160,000 to support a PhD student to conduct research into cell and gene therapies at the Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney. This scholarship is funded by NSW Health and the University of Sydney as part of the NSW Health Gene and Cell Therapy PhD Program. The scholarship provides a stipend allowance of $40,000 per annum for up to 4 years to support outstanding PhD scholars conducting research into building expertise and capability in cell and gene therapies in New South Wales. Recipients must have an unconditional offer of admission to commence in a full-time PhD within the Faculty of Medicine and Health and demonstrate strong academic merit through an undergraduate degree with at least a credit average, research experience through an honours program (first class or second class, division I), or hold a master's by research in a relevant subject. The successful recipient must also attend the Commercialisation Training Program and Program Evaluation of the NSW Health Cell and Cell Therapy PhD Program.

Review process
