About this opportunity
The Buranga Centre Summer Enrolment Scholarship is designed to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to meet the costs of living while studying at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC). These scholarships are available for Indigenous undergraduate degree students enrolled in a Commonwealth-supported program at UniSC and are subject to funding from the Federal Government.
Recipients will receive $2,500 over two study periods, with $1,250 paid per study period. Payments are made as a lump sum approximately 3 weeks after the Census Date. The scholarship is aimed at supporting Indigenous students who demonstrate financial need and are pursuing their first undergraduate degree.
The scholarship is open to students identifying as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander who are enrolled full-time (or part-time where exceptional circumstances prevent full-time enrolment) in any undergraduate degree program at UniSC. Applicants must not have previously completed the requirements of an undergraduate degree program and must demonstrate evidence of financial need. Applications for Study Period 1, 2026 are open until 28 February 2026, with outcomes notified by 27 March 2026.
