About this opportunity
The Burger King Foundation BK℠ Scholars program provides scholarships to high school seniors, employees, spouses/domestic partners, and dependent children of Burger King employees across North America. Through this program, the Foundation has awarded nearly $64 million to over 55,000 deserving students. Scholarships range from $1,000 to $60,000 and are intended to offset the cost of attending college or post-secondary vocational/technical school. The program includes multiple tracks: a General Track for high school seniors and past recipients, and an Employee-Based Track for employees and their families pursuing traditional postsecondary education or enrichment programs. Recipients are selected based on academic record (GPA of 2.0 or higher), participation in school and community activities, work experience, and financial need. Special awards include the James W. McLamore WHOPPER® scholarships ($60,000), Nancy McLamore Scholarship ($20,000), King Awards ($15,000), and various regional and franchisee-specific awards. In 2025 alone, the Foundation awarded over $4.4 million in scholarships to over 4,000 students. The program is administered by Scholarship America and accepts applications from students living in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, or Canada.
