Business and Education Scholarship

The Business and Education Scholarship is awarded to full-time students majoring in Business or Education at Eastern Illinois University. The scholarship requires recipients to maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA and demonstrates financial need as a consideration. Preference is given to students who are persistently employed in an effort to pay for their own education, recognizing their commitment to self-funding their college experience. Awards are given to Business students in odd fiscal years and Education students in even fiscal years. The award is announced in the spring semester and awarded in the fall semester. This scholarship supports students across a wide range of majors within both colleges, including all business specializations (Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, etc.) and all education specializations (Elementary Education, Special Education, Teacher Education programs across various subjects, etc.). This opportunity is specifically designed for students at Eastern Illinois University who demonstrate academic achievement through their GPA requirement while also showing the initiative and work ethic of maintaining employment during their studies. The alternating award schedule ensures both business and education students have opportunities to receive support from this scholarship program.
