About This Opportunity
The Button Family Military and First Responders Graduate Research Award was established in 2021 to support a graduate student who has demonstrated financial need and is a current/past member of the military or first responder, or the immediate family member of a current/past member of the military or first responder. The award recognizes the contributions of military personnel and first responders and their families by providing financial support to help them pursue graduate studies at the University of Regina. The scholarship is valued at $1,050 and one award is available annually. The scholarship will be presented to a University of Regina graduate student enrolled in a graduate program in any faculty who is a fully-qualified graduate student, is a current/past member of the Canadian military or first responder or the immediate family member of such a member, and has demonstrated financial need. In the event of similar applicants, preference is given first to current/past members of the Canadian military and current/past first responders or their immediate family members, and second to students who demonstrate financial need.
