C V Fife Memorial Scholarship - Soil Science

The C V Fife Memorial Scholarship is awarded to New Zealand citizens enrolled full-time in postgraduate study with a focus on soil science. The scholarship arises from a fund established in memory of Dr Cliff V. Fife, who was a member of the Department of Soils and Field Husbandry from 1934 to 1961 and the first Head of the Department of Soil Science from 1961 to 1972. Recipients will be enrolled in a postgraduate degree or postgraduate diploma with a focus on disciplines relevant to soil science. Selection is primarily based on academic achievements, with particular attention given to grades achieved in undergraduate earth science or soil science courses. The scholarship provides approximately $10,000 in funding for one year's duration.
