About this opportunity
CABWI (Chartered Association of Building Engineers Water Industry) provides grants to UK registered charities that enable learning and development empowering young people aged 16+ and adults to gain additional skills and confidence to enter the labour market. The programme funds projects that support people to improve their confidence, build their life skills, qualifications, work experience and training to get jobs. CABWI is particularly interested in funding work with individuals with complex barriers to employment (including ex-service personnel and ex-offenders), young people and adults who are not in employment, education or training (NEET), and those seeking to develop careers in the water, utilities, and construction industries. The charity operates a flexible funding approach supporting both project and core costs, including Living Wage salaries. In 2026, CABWI is particularly keen to support innovative approaches that highlight new ideas and ways of tackling barriers to training and employment. The programme uses a two-stage application process with initial expressions of interest followed by more detailed applications for shortlisted candidates.
