About This Opportunity

Cal Water has established a scholarship program to assist students residing within its service areas who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student's choice. Awards range from $2,500 to $10,000 and are for undergraduate study only. Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. The program is open to students who are at least 16 years of age and are high school seniors, high school graduates with GED certification, or current postsecondary undergraduate students. Applicants or their parents/guardians must live in one of Cal Water's service areas in California. Students must plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school. Nontraditional students who are returning to school or planning to pursue a postsecondary education for the first time are eligible and encouraged to apply. The scholarship program is administered by Scholarship America, the nation's largest designer and manager of scholarship programs. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.
