About This Opportunity

The Calleo Indigenous Scholarship is designed for Indigenous students enrolling full-time in their second year of an undergraduate degree who can demonstrate financial disadvantage and other circumstances which impact their study. This scholarship provides up to $7,500 per annum for up to three years, with students who maintain an annual program GPA of 3.0 or greater receiving $10,000 per annum in the following year. Approved part-time students receive funding at a half-rate. The scholarship is open exclusively to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who register with RMIT Ngarara Willim Centre and provide appropriate documentation. Applicants must be commencing their second year of study, having completed 96-108 credit points. Financial disadvantage must be demonstrated through government benefits or Centrelink Health Care Card status. Preference is given to students studying in IT, STEM, and/or business fields. Eligible circumstances include having a long-term medical condition or disability, experiencing difficult family or social circumstances, relocating from interstate or rural/regional areas to Melbourne, previous or current foster/kinship care or ward of the state status, or coming from under-represented backgrounds such as School Network Access Program schools.
