About this opportunity
Awarded to two (2) masters and/or doctoral students who have resided in PEI for 5 of the last 15 years and are pursuing a graduate degree in the area of Arts, Education, Science, Vet Science or Nursing. One award of a minimum $5,000 in the area of Arts or Education and one award of a minimum $5,000 in the area of Sciences or Nursing are available each year. The scholarship is managed by UPEI and continues the legacy of the Canadian Federation of University Women Charlottetown, which was founded in 1955. The organization has worked tirelessly to educate its members and the general public on matters of importance to all women and has been instrumental in founding UNICEF PEI and supporting various educational and community initiatives. In 2013, UPEI assumed management of the scholarship program to continue granting scholarships with the same spirit and intent upheld by members since the Club's inception.
