About this opportunity
The Canadian Japanese Mennonite Scholarship provides $3,000 CAD to support graduate students engaged in research that assists the protection of minority or human rights in Canada. The scholarship was created as a tangible symbol of cooperation between Canadian Japanese and Canadian Mennonites following a formal apology offered to Canadian Japanese by MCC Canada on behalf of Canadian Mennonites. The scholarship is intended to assist the protection of minority and human rights in Canada and to reduce the potential for abuse of cultural minorities such as that suffered by Japanese Canadians during World War II. Applications are open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or international students studying at a Canadian university who are enrolled in a graduate degree program.
