About this opportunity

The Canadian Northern Studies Trust invites proposals from candidates across all subject areas including interdisciplinary and comparative studies. This award supports graduate students who engage in research culminating in a thesis or other such document, include direct northern field research or experience as part of their studies, and whose programs are relevant to northern challenges or issues. The award is administered by the Association of Canadian Universities for Northern Studies (ACUNS) and provides $10,000 CAD to support northern fieldwork research conducted in Canada's North. Recipients must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents enrolled full-time in college or university, with research conducted between May and the following March or May in designated northern regions of Canada.
