Capital Grant Scheme

A relatively new addition to the grant funding mix offered by the Dartington Cattle Breeding Trust, the Capital Grant Scheme aims to help young farmers and new entrants to purchase capital item(s) that would further their business prospects. Applications are welcome from forward-thinking farmers who are keen to progress within the livestock sector of agriculture. The grant is an award for capital expenditure of up to 50% of an approved project cost to a maximum grant of £10,000. The grant must relate to an aspect of livestock production and must be used primarily to generate income or reduce costs rather than increase asset value. Priority is given to new entrants to farming, and suitable applicants will normally farm in Cornwall and Devon.
