Capital Grants

Ashford Borough Council offers capital grants to support community organizations with capital projects. Funding of up to £10,000 is available for individual projects, though the grant awarded must not exceed 50% of the total cost of the project. This program supports not-for-profit organizations, unincorporated organizations with formal management structures, and parish councils operating in the Ashford borough. Eligible projects must contribute to the council's corporate priorities, such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions, encouraging healthier communities, delivering improved local facilities, fostering good community relations, or providing support for vulnerable people. The grant can only be used for capital costs such as buildings and equipment, not for signage or operational expenses. Applications are assessed through a Community Grants Panel that meets three times per year to evaluate proposals based on their contribution to corporate priorities, direct benefits to users, value for money, and service quality for local residents.
