About This Opportunity

Swinburne University of Technology is committed to improving the educational outcomes of care leavers - students who have experienced formal 'out-of-home care' (e.g. foster care, kinship, residential or permanent care). The Care Leaver Bursary provides financial support to help students achieve their academic goals. These bursaries are made possible through Swinburne's partnership with Raising Expectations – a project designed to increase the number of young people in care and care leavers accessing tertiary education. The bursary is valued at $1000 and is available to Australian citizens and permanent residents who are commencing or current students enrolled in Vocational Education courses at Swinburne. Payment is made as a one-time single payment following the census date in the teaching period that it is awarded.
