Care Leavers Scholarship 2025/26

The Care Leavers Scholarship 2025/26 provides comprehensive financial support to University of Gloucestershire students who have been in local authority care in the UK. The scholarship offers up to £6,625 per annum and consists of two components: a 50% tuition fee waiver for each year of full-time study and a bursary towards general living or accommodation costs. The bursary amount is £2,000 in the first year (Level 4), £1,000 in the second year (Level 5), and £1,000 in the final year (Level 6), which can be increased to £2,000 if the student achieves an average pass mark of 60% or more at Level 5. The bursary can be received as discounted halls of residence fees or as cash support for students living in private accommodation. Scholarship awards are paid directly into students' bank accounts in three instalments throughout the academic year.
