About this opportunity
The Career Success WIL Grant is designed for bachelor's degree students at RMIT University who are experiencing financial hardship due to undertaking a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placement in 2025. The grant addresses financial challenges arising from loss of income, incurring additional expenses, or requiring specialist resources necessary for completing WIL placements (also known as internships, practicums, fieldwork, or co-op experiences). The grant is specifically targeted at students from disadvantaged backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, those from rural/regional/remote areas, and students from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Recipients are required to complete career development tasks designed to help maximize the value of their WIL placement and enhance employability skills, including completing a strengths profile, obtaining supervisor reports, writing reflections, updating resumes, and attending career meetings. The program aims to reduce barriers to completing essential workplace experiences that are integral to students' degree programs.
