About this opportunity
CareerSource Broward offers financial assistance to Broward County residents pursuing in-demand career training through a network of schools and employers throughout Broward County. The program provides scholarships of up to $12,000 to cover tuition, books, and supplies for career training and education. Additionally, eligible participants may receive paid internships of up to $16 per hour to gain practical experience while obtaining their education. Participants are assigned a dedicated success coach to guide them through the process of starting a new career. The program also provides access to computers, phones, and other resources to help graduates connect with employers. The Start-Up Now program has helped hundreds of Broward County residents continue their education and advance their careers through comprehensive support services.

Review process
Applicants must register in the Employ Florida Marketplace, complete the Start-Up Now application, and submit required documentation including resume, transcripts, Social Security verification, driver's license, and Selective Service registration for males born after January 1, 1960.
