Carers Bursary

The Carers Bursary is a non-repayable financial award of £1,200 provided by Solent University to undergraduate students who provide significant care for their parents or an immediate family member (excluding children) while studying. Students must have been recognised as carers by their local authority and continue to have caring responsibilities during their university studies. The bursary is designed to support students balancing academic commitments with substantial caring duties for family members. The funding is paid in instalments directly into the student's bank account throughout the academic year. This bursary recognizes the additional challenges faced by student carers and provides financial assistance to help them succeed in their higher education pursuits.
