About this opportunity
The Caring for the Cotswolds grant scheme provides funding for high-quality projects in the Cotswolds National Landscape that can be delivered relatively quickly. The program supports three key themes: Nature (protecting and enhancing biodiversity and landscape features), Communities (improving countryside access for underserved communities, education about the Cotswolds' special qualities, and showcasing natural and cultural heritage), and Climate (mitigation and adaptation projects including energy reduction, waste management, natural flood management, and improvements to local green spaces). Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year with multiple grant panel meetings. The scheme requires that applicants demonstrate contributions from other funding sources and does not fund 100% of project costs. Previously funded projects include pond restoration, orchard creation, footpath restoration, outdoor learning programs, community allotments, and natural flood management initiatives.
