The Carl Pollock Postgraduate Fellowship in Engineering is an annual scholarship valued at approximately $23,000 awarded to a graduate student pursuing a doctoral degree in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo. This fellowship is specifically designed for students who received their undergraduate degree from an Engineering program at Waterloo. The scholarship provides financial support across 3 academic terms starting in the fall term. While not automatically renewable, recipients may re-apply and be considered for an additional one-year scholarship. The fellowship supports doctoral research in any of the University of Waterloo Engineering Departments, including Architecture, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil & Environmental Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Management Sciences, Mechanical & Mechatronics Engineering, and Systems Design Engineering. Recipients must note that the scholarship cannot be held concurrently with another major scholarship such as tri-agency or Ontario Graduate Scholarship.
