About this opportunity
Carlsberg Mindelegat provides grants to support researchers in communicating their own research or research field to non-scientific audiences to promote general education and interest in basic research and science. The grant aims to strengthen the position of research and science in society and in public conversation and debate by promoting collaborations between researchers and professional communicators. Projects can take various formats including TV productions, documentaries, podcasts, new science journalism initiatives, festivals, lectures, debate arrangements, animations, publications and social media productions. The target audience is primarily non-scientific audiences in Denmark, from children and youth in primary school and up. The grant supports communication projects for a period of up to two years with amounts ranging from 50,000 kr. to 200,000 kr. The project must be based on basic research and science, take its starting point in the applicant's own research or research field, and must involve collaboration with professional communicators with documented experience in journalism or media production.
