About This Opportunity

The Carlyle Greenwell Support Grant is a postgraduate research scholarship established to provide financial assistance to master's by research or PhD students who are undertaking research in Anthropology at the University of Sydney. The scholarship is funded by The Carlyle Greenwell Research Fund for Students in Anthropology from a bequest by Carlyle Greenwell. The grant provides up to $5,000 to assist students with any activity that supports their research, including conference attendance, professional membership fees, or equipment purchases. Recipients must be enrolled in the School of Social and Political Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and must be making satisfactory progress in their degree as substantiated by their annual progress reviews and a supporting letter from their supervisor. The successful applicant will be selected on the basis of academic merit, a statement detailing how the requested funds will support their research, and a detailed budget for the requested funds.
