About This Opportunity

The Carol Bond Fund is a memorial scholarship created by NC One Water in cooperation with employees of the City of Raleigh, NC, commemorating Carol Bond and her lifelong devotion to environmental education. Carol was one of the first certified Environmental Educators in North Carolina and served on many NC One Water committees. This scholarship supports environmental education initiatives for middle and high school teachers. The grant provides $1,500 plus free attendance to the NC One Water Annual Conference. The grant may be applied towards expenses related to clean water and environmental preservation educational initiatives, including educational materials (books, videos), travel for field trips, building materials specific to a project, enrollment fees for water-related short courses for educators, and prizes for competitions. Recipients are expected to complete their project within one year and provide a report describing the project administration and accomplishments.
