About this opportunity
The Carol Cooper Nursing Scholarship honors Carol Cooper's legacy of selfless volunteerism and her dedication to nurturing children and supporting communities. Carol was involved in numerous civic organizations and was a founding member of the Seattle Guardian Ad Litem program, representing children in court cases. She also supported and nurtured over 19 foster children beyond raising her own.
This scholarship was established by her family to embody Carol's love of instilling strong values in children and supporting healthcare education. It aims to assist students pursuing nursing degrees at Wenatchee Valley College in North Central Washington.
The scholarship is available to graduates of high schools in Chelan, Douglas, or Okanogan County, or to students with permanent residence in these counties for at least two years. Recipients must be pursuing an RN or BSN degree at Wenatchee Valley College, with preference given to non-traditional students currently working in healthcare. The application period runs from January 1st through June 1st annually.
