About this opportunity
The Carol M. Reinagle Memorial Scholarship is awarded to select School of Information Studies (SOIS) new and continuing graduate students in the Master's in Library and Information Science (MLIS): School Librarianship program. This scholarship honors Carol M. Reinagle, who dedicated 24+ years of service to school librarianship and was known as an innovator, technology pioneer, and lifelong learner. The scholarship provides $1,000 to support students pursuing careers in school library media. Applicants must be enrolled part or full-time in the MLIS School Librarianship program at UW-Milwaukee, be current or permanent residents of Wisconsin, demonstrate financial need as determined by FAFSA, and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic progress, earn at least a B in all core classes, and be registered for a minimum of 3 INFOST credits by May 1. Strong preference is given to students with demonstrated interest in and commitment to education and the school library field.
