About this opportunity
The Carole Muller Award is a postgraduate research scholarship established in 2019 to support outstanding PhD scholars conducting research in the area of Balinese culture, art and history. The scholarship was generously donated by Carole Muller to support students undertaking postgraduate study and research in this specialized field. The award provides either a stipend allowance or tuition fee coverage for up to 3.5 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance. Preference is given to applicants undertaking research in the field of Bali Aga (Original Balinese) people with particular attention to visual culture. Applicants must demonstrate an aptitude for fieldwork, a background in a relevant discipline, and proficiency in or a strong desire to become proficient in the Indonesian language.
