About this opportunity
Carrick Futures is a community benefit fund supported by ScottishPower Renewables for Arecleoch and Mark Hill Windfarms in South Ayrshire, receiving approximately £500,000 annually. The fund primarily supports projects located within or directly benefiting six community council areas: Ballantrae, Colmonell & Lendalfoot, Barr, Barrhill, Dailly, Pinmore & Pinwherry, and Girvan & District. The fund supports charitable activities that promote rural regeneration and sustainability across South Carrick, with a focus on creating thriving places where people want to live, work, raise their families and grow old. It provides grants at three levels: small grants (£500-£5,000), standard grants (£5,001-£50,000), and large grants (over £50,000). The fund has six strategic priorities: improving access to public services, education and recreation; tackling inequality including poverty and disadvantage; supporting good health and wellbeing; providing support for children and young people; supporting sustainable development of community-led assets; and fostering climate-smart approaches that protect the environment. Awards can be multi-year in nature, normally up to a maximum of 3 years.
