About this opportunity
The University of Sussex is delighted to offer this scholarship of £3,000 for an applicant starting one of several courses in the Media and Film Department in September 2026, named for Sussex alumna Cate Haste. This scholarship is awarded as a tuition fee reduction and is available to UK or international applicants who hold an offer for specific Masters courses in media, film, and journalism. The scholarship honors Cate Haste, who was a television producer, writer, and Sussex alumna (1966). She produced many historical documentaries such as End of Empire (1984) and The Churchills (1995), and wrote several books on topics ranging from propaganda in WWI to the lives of Prime Ministers' spouses and Alma Mahler. Only one scholarship is available for the 2026/27 academic year, and successful applicants will be notified before the end of July 2026.
