About this opportunity
The Catherine Baxter Dairy Scholarship supports students undertaking postgraduate research in dairy science at Massey University. The scholarship is funded from an endowment established in 1933 by Thomas Nimmo Baxter, an Auckland barrister and solicitor, in memory of his wife Catherine Baxter (nee Stuart). The endowment has been supplemented by funds from the Massey University Dairy Farmer Conference held in Taranaki in 1989. This scholarship provides approximately $5,000 for one year to full-time postgraduate students conducting research in the field of dairy science or related areas. Recipients are selected based on academic achievement, the relevance of their research to dairy science, and other scholarships or bursaries they currently hold.
