The Catherine Descheneau Teaching Assistantship Award in Computing Science is awarded to students with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in any year of an undergraduate or graduate degree in the Department of Computing Science at the University of Alberta who have served as a teaching assistant for at least one term. The award recognizes students who have demonstrated effectiveness and involvement as a teaching assistant in enhancing the learning experience of students. Selection is based on academic standing and demonstrated effectiveness as a teaching assistant. This award is funded through annual contributions from the Computing Science Alumni Endowment for Undergraduate Education.
