About this opportunity
The Cathy Wills Sculpture Scholarship of £14,600 is available to one student accepted on the MA Fine Art: Sculpture course at Camberwell College of Arts, MA Fine Art course at Chelsea College of Arts or the MA Fine Art course at Central Saint Martins with the primary focus of their practice being to produce objects existing in three-dimension. The scholarship was created by Cathy Wills in honour of her late father Cecil in 2007, a lifelong collector and patron of the visual arts. Since its launch the Scholarship has supported over 20 sculptors on MA courses. Cathy Wills is an art historian, contemporary art collector, and curator who has been a supporter and advocate for artists for more than 40 years with a particular interest in patronising sculptors. Applications are welcomed from domestic and international students pursuing an MA Fine Art at Chelsea, MA Fine Art at Central Saint Martins, or MA Sculpture at Camberwell who would not be able to pursue their studies without external support. Applicants should have a strong sculptural practice anchored in three-dimensional objects. Applicants are selected by a panel composed of UAL Heads of Department and a practising artist.
