About this opportunity
The Center for Chinese Studies (CCS) Research Grant Program provides support for foreign scholars conducting research in Taiwan focused on Taiwan or Chinese studies. The program targets foreign professors, associate professors, assistant professors (including post-doctoral researchers), and doctoral candidates in departments related to Chinese studies at foreign universities, as well as researchers at related foreign academic institutes. The grant provides comprehensive support including research expenses, research materials, liaison with universities and research institutions, and use of CCS facilities. Research tenure ranges from one month to one year, with applications reviewed annually. Grantees receive travel subsidies (one direct round trip economy class air ticket from their domicile to Taipei) and monthly research subsidies paid at levels corresponding to academic rank (professor, associate professor, assistant professor/post-doctoral researcher, or doctoral candidate). Recipients must conduct their research in Taiwan and submit a research report or paper by the end of their tenure.
