About This Opportunity

The Central Energy Trust provides grants for energy-related projects that benefit the consumers of the former CentralPower energy company in the Manawatu and Tararua regions. Trustees consider grant applications twice per year, with closing dates of 1 May and 1 November each financial year. Under the Trust Deed dated 20 July 1993, the Trustees have discretion to allocate funds for projects that are energy-related and benefit the specified community. The Trustees will have regard to the level of the applicant's contributions to project costs and may allocate a lesser amount than requested to ensure some grantee contribution. Applications to fund computers, data projectors and other short-life electronic equipment will not be accepted unless they are an integral part of an overall energy-related project.
