Centrelink Relocation Scholarship

The Centrelink Relocation Scholarship is offered by the Australian Government to assist higher education students with the costs of living away from home. This scholarship is specifically available to eligible Youth Allowance and ABSTUDY customers who are required to relocate to undertake their studies. From 1 January 2015, the Relocation Scholarship is only available to students relocating to or from regional areas. Students relocating from major cities are only eligible for the Relocation Scholarship if they relocate to study at a regional campus. This needs-based scholarship aims to reduce financial barriers for students from regional or remote areas who must leave their home to access higher education. The scholarship is available for both current and future students undertaking postgraduate coursework at Curtin University. Recipients cannot receive a Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarship or an Abstudy Residential Costs Option for the same period as the Relocation Scholarship. Students receiving this Commonwealth Scholarship will continue to receive it until expiry, provided they continue to meet all eligibility criteria.
