About this opportunity
The Certificate in University Teaching (CUT) Award is given annually to a graduate student who shows a strong commitment to their development as a university teacher and demonstrates the highest achievement on completion of the CUT program. Joint administered by the Centre for Teaching Excellence (CTE) and Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (GSPA), this award publicly recognizes the importance and value of teaching development efforts by the University of Waterloo's graduate students who, through their various instructional roles, contribute to the quality of undergraduate education at Waterloo. The award recipient is selected by mid-April among graduate students who completed the Certificate in University Teaching program in the previous three terms based on the fiscal year ending in April. Funding for this annual award is provided by the GSPA.

Automatic selection based on completion of Certificate in University Teaching program. Evaluated on evidence of continuous improvement and growth as a university teacher, and critical reflection on teaching practice.
