About this opportunity

The Chancellor's Scholarship is awarded annually to 14 undergraduate students at the University of Regina who demonstrate academic excellence with a minimum admission average of 95%. This prestigious scholarship is available to students entering directly from high school or high school graduates who have not completed any post-secondary courses. Recipients receive $10,000 per year for up to four years, plus on-campus housing for their first year, bringing the total value to over $46,000. The scholarship is renewable for three additional years based on academic performance. In addition to financial support, recipients benefit from comprehensive programming including an assigned academic mentor (typically a faculty member from their program), specially designed leadership programming, opportunities to participate in university events and social activities, and access to a supportive community of fellow scholarship recipients. Six awards are reserved for specific categories including Indigenous applicants, out-of-province students, and students from designated school divisions. To maintain the scholarship, students must achieve a minimum sessional GPA of 80% and complete at least 18 credit hours annually (12 for students with permanent disabilities). Recipients are expected to participate in Chancellor Scholarship programming, recruitment initiatives, and agree to be featured in University of Regina promotional campaigns.
